July 28

July 28 is an important day at the Canazzi's-it is the day (or week, see previous post) that Gary Daniel Canazzi entered the world. Here is a short photo history...
An only child-he was doted upon by his parents,

this is one of a series taken in front of the gold curtain, Gary's parent's took most of their pictures on slide film, so we only have a few of his growing up years. Just haven't taken the time to print them up...

The next few pictures were taken shortly before I met him
in 1980. His friend did cut some of that hair off too!
he was probably talking,
The next photo was taken about 1982-ugh those fashions! This is an Easter portrait taken about 1985, I made matching
Mother/Daughter outfits and got Gary to wear a
pink shirt. He has braces in this photo.
A few years later, about 20, we posed for another portrait.
This is one of my favorites of the guy taken about a year ago.
Happy birthday Gary...Love you more...I said it first...

9:30 pm

At 9:30 PM I pulled the covers over Gary as he went to bed EXHAUSTED. My battery was still going, but his was expired...You see, this is the start of Gary's Birthday week. Amy and I always seem to stretch out our birthday's so I decided to do the same for him.
A birthday greeting....On Saturday, I decided to treat him to a trip to Maryhill Museum. He had never been there and they had an Ansel Adams show up. (Adams was a famous photographer) So after packing the car, stopping at Dutch Brothers for him and then getting a bit of a false start, we headed up the Gorge. Once we reached the museum and put on our walking shoes, we saw...quite a few peacocks and an amazing view. We sat in the "King and Queen for a day", chair-
we saw some amazing outdoor sculptures-
the Adams show-
the Rodin exhibit-
some amazing chess sets-
We had dinner in Stevenson at the Big River Grill, yummy!
On Sunday morning I treated him to a Starbuck's breakfast and he worked on his photos from Saturday's trip. We picked Amy up around 11 and on the way home she was relating a story about going to Pix Patisserie. He didn't know what or where that was, so we decided to take him for lunch.
We ordered the lunch tray of dry proscuitto, cheese, olives, marcona almonds and toasty, salted bread. Plus a Brioche and Shazam-(Rich and creamy caramel mousse, salted almonds, dense chocolate almond cake, and more caramel) Triple yummy!!!
We then took him to SCRAP. A fun place for the inner artist in you-On the way home we admired some houses. Loved this green one with a red door.
Dinner with Amy, Karl and my Dad of Paninis and spinach salad. For dessert, tiny lemon cakes with raspberry mascarpone whipped cream and blueberries or chocolate. Maybe I should plan a few walking adventures next!!
Then presents...

Yep, he had a good reason to be pooped out.
Tomorrow, dinner with Amy/Karl (she saw what I planned to make and her pregnant self invited herself over) Tuesday, dinner at the Claim Jumper with Nick and Gabriele and also Karl and Amy because that "sounded good too." Wednesday is coffee time with his best friend. Thursday and Friday should be salad nights I think...
We will have eaten out more this week than we did the whole last few months!!

One of the scrapbooking lines I LOVE is Cosmo Cricket, they have the cutest papers!! Well anyway, they had a really cute post relating to their "Boyfriend" line so I copied it for you all to read...enjoy...

Dear Tech Support:
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a slowdown in the overall performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications that had operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0. In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, but installed undesirable programs such as NFL 5.0 and NBA 3.0. And now Conversation 8.0 no longer runs and House Cleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.
What can I do?
Signed,Desperate

Dear Desperate:
First keep in mind; Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system. Try entering the command
C:// I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME
and download Tears 6.2 to install Guilt 3.0. If all works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.
But remember, overuse can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1. Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will create Snoring Loudly.wav files.
Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-Law 1.0 or reinstall another Boyfriend program. These are not supported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.
In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have a limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider additional software to improve memory andperformance. I personally recommend Hot Food 3.0 and Lingerie 6.9.
Good Luck,Joyce at Tech Support

My wish came true!

Somehow or other my heart went back to normal before they did the procedure this morning. So I'm back to my normal chores and things...so glad! Thanks for thinking of me...

Soooooo Hunnnngry....

I am so hungry right now...
But the doctors that are doing the little procedure on my heart this morning said no food after midnight...

They said no water either...

Like I would purposely get sick or something...

Like I would waste purfectly good food that way...
My little shock should be happening around 9 am and then I'll be sleeping for a good part of the day. Because, really, had trouble sleeping last night...
Sure it's routine for them, they do it all the time-but me, this is my first time and I am a bit nervous. It will be fine...I have some people praying...and He is the great healer!
I'll stop in as soon as I can...

Monday Memories

I have been working on an album of photos from when I was little.
This first photo is one of the first of us as a family. My grandparents were visiting so they snapped a few. I love David's classic "little boy" look with the Cracker Jacks. Since my mom and Rod split a few short years later, it is one of only a few I have with him.
This is my lovely Grandpa and Grandma, only have fond memories of them! This is a new family shot taken at my grandparents a few months before mom married Gene. They had dated for 7 years so it was about time!!
ta ta till next time...

Beauty

Isn't she a beauty??!!
You think not?!
One of my dreams is to see these grand United States. And since I get motion sick pretty easy (just watch me in an elevator!) driving is the answer. Plus, I hate to waste money on things I can do myself, like make a bed or cook a meal. So when we get around to seeing the states I think we will need a mobile home and I really want another Volkswagon van. Gary just chuckles every time I mention it and I'm guessing the kids think I'm crazy. But I can just see us tootling down the road and pulling over for a snooze on the new air mattress, or making a sandwich. So I'm gonna keep dreaming and looking out for the perfect traveling machine.
I am partial to orange and red!!

Monday memories

Dear Amy helped me on this album of photo of my brothers and I, so this album went together fast...

Now I started working on photos of us as a family with grandparents, etc. The new album is 8.5x11 instead of 12x12 which is what the last 5 have been. Weird to be working with this small size again.
thanks for stopping by...
