Monday Memories

I haven't shared this image yet-I woke up to this the other morning. Yep, he's sleeping diagonally across the bed with the covers all untucked and down around his waist and barely using his pillow. He woke up when I was taking the flash photo.
Me -I'm up on two pillows, my head practically hitting the headboard. I sleep with the covers tucked in and the tops of them under my chin. Oh and there is usually a big suitcase redirecting the flow of the fan so it doesn't hit me in the face.
I think it is interesting that in our almost 29 years of marriage, our sleep styles haven't changed much...

Prayer support

Many of you know that Karl and Amy had a little treasure coming, but some of you may not know that this last weekend she found out that it was not to be. She has been pretty realistic about it and today is having a procedure to finalize events. Will you pray that she will be somewhat calm today. We are blessed that a dear friend will be part of the surgical team and that did make her feel better about the whole thing.

She is talking about "next time" which is a good thing, I know that God will carry both her and Karl through this and they will be stronger as a couple for having to rely upon one another.

Thanks for your prayers, karin

Monday Memories

On Sunday, Amy and I got to help hostess a shower for this lovely lady, Megan. Megan and Amy have been friends at least 23 years. This is Megan's first baby and she was down for a quick trip before heading back to Canada where they are currently staying for work reasons.
We hung up a bunch of clothes that Megan and her sister had and set out their playpen and blankets. Oh and lots of balloons and cute stuff we had made.Amy and I with Megan....

Changes and Craigslist

I've been trying all day to update my 365 blog but other things are screaming for my attention!

It looks like Nick is going to move back home to save a bit of time and money, so now I need to get rid of some furniture...no room. I've listed them on Craigslist but thought about the fact that the more people who knew, the better chance to get them sold...
If you are interested in these items, I can email you the measurements.

These club chairs I am just tired of, even though they look almost like they did when we had them reupholstered in 2002. One chair $90/ two chairs $160.
This little table is losing it's home and storage isn't something I have a lot of!
$30 and it's yours.
Oh and the rattan couch... I love this couch and it is so comfortable. $195
My creative solution to getting more hidden storage. An old suitcase mounted on leg spindles-$40.
Now off to read the papers and have a snack...have a grand weekend! :)

Monday memories

I have finished the last of my heritage albums and am so proud of myself. These were a huge project and it was taking so long because I was reliving moments and checking out fashions, etc.
These are the last pages of my "growing up" album and focus on my mom and dad through the years....

Now to get up-to-date with the 2008-09 album before I need to start the baby one!!
thanks for stopping by...
